Keep your wine cool with a wine fridge
If any of you are anything like myself you will have lived in various style dwellings over the past few decades – some perhaps being apartments and townhouses, and at other times large family homes.
In an apartment it is a good idea to have a wine bottle refrigerator in the kitchen or living area, given there is limited space for additional furniture.
Some wine refrigerators sit on countertops or on a cabinet as they in some cases might only hold twelve to sixteen bottles of wine.
For those of you operating small guest rooms or B&B businesses, a chic looking wine fridge is more than a functional item, it adds to the experience of residing in your accommodation.
Standard fridges have a thermostat and are often clicking on and off throughout the day and night which can be disturbing in a small dwelling or guest room.
What is common in many apartments is to have an open plan layout for the living, dining and kitchen areas that often will include kitchen countertops or free standing island units as room separators.
Where you have room dividers like kitchen benchtops or island units you can use an undercounter wine refrigerator with stainless steel doors and generally classy look that fits in perfectly in a living area.
If you happen to have a big family then you are pretty much going to be living in a larger house.
There is nothing worse than keeping your regular refrigerator loaded full of your wines with little space for day to day food and beverages.
This is sure to get you offside with the rest of the family!
Having your wine away from your family food refrigerator is a awesome idea in this situation, and I like to store it nearer to the entertaining area.
Also it means I can maintain the wine under lock and key if required.
Shopping at my wine shop is now less frequent as my practice is to purchase a few extra bottles for the fridge.
